Dutch FPSO leasing specialist SBM Offshore has secured a firm deal with Petrobras to lease and operate a newbuild FPSO at its giant Buzios offshore oil field in firm contract, for the years lease and operation of the FPSO to be named Almirante Tamandaré, follows the signing of the binding Letter of Intent announced back in February.

The vessel has a processing capacity of up to 180 000 bpd, a water injection capacity of 250 000 bpd, associated gas treatment capacity of 12 million standard m 3 /d and a minimum storage capacity of million bbl of crude oil.
