Upgraded bentonite was activated using sulphuric acid with various acid strength of ; ; 5 and 10 M. Ratio of bentonite weight and acid volume was 1: 25. The activation process was performed with three methods; namely heating in 60°C for 1 hour; heating for 1 hour followed by acid soaking for 1 week; and acid settlement for two weeks.
5. Source and manufacturing procedure The finished product of the present petition (Acidactivated bentonite, CAS #) is prepared by treating naturally occurring bentonite clay with sulfuric acid. 1 See Appendix, Attachment #1: paper, McWard, Taylor, Acidified Clay Litter Amendment, J. Appl. Poultry Research, 9, 518529 (2001)

Bentonite has layer structures and a potential to be used as solid alyst by activation process. Three methods of activation process had been conducted, namely 60°Cheating; 60°Cheating followed by 1 week settling and 2 weeks settlement. Each method was performed in sulphuric acid and the chemical content of Al 2 O 3 and SiO 2 was observed ...
Process of Activated bentonite clay for oil refining. Palm Fruit Processing Line is extracted from the fruits of the oil palm trees (or some times referred to as oil palms). These trees, which originated in Shandong Leader Machinery Co.,Ltd., usually grow in the tropics. After being planted, a well fertilized oil palm tree can take 4 to 6 years to produce fruits for harvesting
· Synergistic modifiion of bentonite by acid activation and hydroxyl iron pillaring was conducted. Larger specific surface area and pore volume was achieved after modifiion. Enhanced removal of RhB was achieved by the modified bentonite. The adsorption mechanisms of RhB on the adsorbent involve electrostatic attraction and hydrogen bond action.
sulfuric acid activation of bentonite clay The acid activation of bentonite clay samples was carried out with,, sulfuric acid. The results of the chemical analysis showed that the content of acidic components, such as SiO 2 and Al 2 O 3 increases with the increase in the sulfuric acid molarity.
· Natural bentonite clay (mainly sodiumrich montmorillonite) both purified and acid activated using HCl, H 2 SO 4, and H 3 PO 4 acids were applied to the alytic fast pyrolysis (CFP) of lignin. The modifiions in crystalline structure and acidity of the activated clay were investigated via XRD, N 2adsorptiondesorption, FTIR, TGA and NH 3TPD analysis.

[7]. Activation of bentonite by acid is an important step for adsorption of some impurities by active clay. This is socalled "activation process." The activation of bentonite is carried out in a continuous stirred tank reactor at low temperatures between 70 and 120oC in the presence of activation agents, mostly sulfuric acid. During the
